The main characters are agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. The premise of the show is that Mulder is the believer and Scully is the skeptic. Mulder always looks to the paranormal and supernatural for an explanation, and Scully, being a medical doctor, looks to science and to fact. Scully is originally assigned to work with Mulder on the X-Files so she can disprove his work. "Bad Blood" 5x12 "Paper Clip" 3x02 "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" 3x04 "All Souls" 5x17 "Ice" 1x07 |

Welcome to the X-Files, one of my many addictions. The X-Files is a TV show about a quest to uncover a global conspiracy regarding the existence of extra-terrestrial lifeforms. Two FBI agents work to discover the extent of the government's involvement in this conspiracy, and in doing so, they come across cases which involve the paranormal. Assistant Director of the FBI, Walter Skinner (left). Skinner is pretty much on Mulder and Scully's side, but seeing as how he works so high up in the chain of command, he is often forced to work against them and the X-Files. "Life is like a box of chocolates- a cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down when there's nothing else left to eat. Sure, once and a while there's a peanut butter cup or an english toffee, but they're gone too fast, and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits filled with hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those, all you've got left is an empty box filled with useless brown paper wrappers." - Cigarette-Smoking Man "Musings of a Cigarette-Smoking Man" 4x07 |
